The Captain’s Pajara: Trullo with unique natural rock pool
From
Description
This beautiful, ancient trullo has been recently renovated to a very high spec for guests wishing for a spot of luxury in the wilderness. Situated at the edge of Porto Selvaggio and Palude del Capitano Natural Park, one kilometer south of the popular beach resort of Sant’Isidoro, it is just 800 meters from the lapping shores of the Ionic Sea, forming part of the protected portion of the Mediterranean.
Set in one acres of olive grove and fig orchards, the trullo’s idyllic surrounds also boast their own natural spring and plunge pool for those early morning karma dips to refresh the soul. With sun all day long, the sweet smelling canopy also ensures your own private sunbathing launch just a skip and jump away from a well-stocked refrigerator.
The trullo itself is part of a stunningly converted sheep barn and sleeps a maximum 6 people with two tastefully decorated double bedrooms and provision to convert an ample living room with dual aspect views across the groves into an extra third bedroom.
The huge kitchen has a wood-burning oven for central heating in the winter months and ample storage and surfaces for food and party preparation.
The rest room is set in a hamm’am style annex just off of the living room, equipped with a luxury rain shower and deep bath for the perfect Morroccan bathing experience.
In addition, both the living room and kitchen open out on to a large patio for yet more excuses to just kick back and soak up the rays, or take an evening ‘apero’ on the trullo roof terrace to watch a sunset to die for over the sea. Alternately, you could host your own party into the small hours, making good use of the large bbq grill and extensive lighting across the patio, grounds and even inside the natural pool.
